Hi everyone. Rob here. I warmly invite you to come to this tremendous resource called Wild at Heart Basic, which enables men everywhere and anywhere to experience the life-changing effects of a Wild at Heart event. I have attended three of these events and I can testify to the healing work they do in a man’s heart. This isn’t being run as a retreat event but as a weekly curriculum. The effect on your masculine soul will be, yes, life changing. Can’t wait to see you there!

DATES: Every Monday night starting on July 27, finishing on September 21

TIME: come from 7p.m for a cuppa. Sessions start 7.30. We’ll finish around 9.30. Times may vary as we get into it.

Why a Retreat?

We live in an increasingly frantic world. We are bombarded every day by information, distraction and noise. Jesus said

“Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion? Come to me, get away with me and you’ll recover your life. I’ll show you how to take a real rest. Walk with me and work with me – watch how I do it. Learn the unforced rhythms of grace. I won’t lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you. Keep company with me and you’ll learn to live freely and lightly” (Matthew 11:28-30, The Message)

Brand New Heart Retreats are an opportunity to slow down, be quiet, receive truth and hear from God. The bottom line? If you want to grow closer to God, retreats work! Have a read of this page, talk to God about it, talk to others about it, and get in touch. We’re happy to work with you.

Brand New Heart Retreats – What are they?

Coming Home

Coming Home is the name of a book we have recently published, but is also an invitation at the heart of Jesus’ announcement of the kingdom of God. We are sons and daughters of a good Father and brothers and sisters to his Son, Jesus. There is joy, intimacy and freedom available for us as we apprentice ourselves to Jesus and walk with him in the Father’s Estate. Brand New Heart will be running retreats and workshops based on this material throughout the year. Keep an eye out and check out our Facebook page too.

Wild at Heart Basic

We have been unashamedly influenced by the ministry of John Eldredge and the Ransomed Heart team (see I (Rob) have attended 3 Wild at Heart Boot Camps and have had my life changed as a result. There is now a tremendous resource called Wild at Heart Basic, which enables men everywhere and anywhere to experience the life-changing effects of a Wild at Heart event. David’s already run one and we are committed to offering these also.

Who is running this?

This event is being run by Brand New Heart Ministries – an organisation that seeks to help men and women discover and live out of the brand new heart given to them by Christ. We aim to run a number of retreats each year and have a heart to work with men and women anywhere in New Zealand to host a retreat in their region. See our About page to find out more.

What do people say about it?

“I feel that the retreat definitely has re-awakened my heart. I’ve been seriously challenged and encouraged over the weekend. My body was physically knackered, but my spirit and soul are soaring! One of the big things that I took from the weekend is how great the impact is that we as fathers have on our children, and on our spouses. I am so much more aware that my words and action have the ability to affirm, but also to wound. I’m looking forward to all that God has in store for in the days, weeks, months and years ahead” – Kerrie
