Wildest Dreams

Hello, David here.

Earlier this week Rob wrote about the age old question, “Do I have what it takes?”  The question that all boys and men have. The question is all about fatherhood, being coached and learning that with God’s help we always have what it takes.

Life is made up of challenges and choices; moments whereby God invites us to be Fathered by him, coached by him into living life the way Jesus would live it if he were us (to paraphrase Dallas Willard). That is, lived in close intimacy with the Father and led by the Holy Spirit. When we learn that, in relationship with God, we have what it takes then we can live life confidently and with peace in our inner being.

God wants us to know we have what it takes so we can be confident about our future and the purpose we have to fulfill.  Henry David Thoreau puts it this way:

Go confidently in the direction of your dreams!
Live the life you’ve imagined

Some questions for you to think about:

1.   What are the dreams you’ve put off or forgotten?
2.  Where will they take you?
3.  How would this impact your life and those around you?
4.  What are the barriers you need to move?
5.  What is the next step?

Here’s what the bible says about going confidently in the direction of your dreams

May you this week re-remember your dreams, discover where they are leading you and go confidently in the direction that they are taking you.  Know you have what it takes, because God walks with you.
